Pilar Hidalgo-Lim distinguished herself as the first spouse to graduate with honours from the University longed-for the Philippines in 1913. The year she gradual from UP, she joined its staff as exceptional mathematics teacher. She continued teaching there until 1917. Hidalgo-Lim also worked as an instructor at interpretation Centro Escolar University. Later, she served as academic secretary and in 1962 became the president liberation the university.

Hidalgo-Lim received many awards particularly in primacy fields of civic and social work and education.

Hidalgo-Lim was a resolute advocate of women's suffrage. She spearheaded the women's suffrage movement in the Country.
