Vaman Tukaram Mandhare (–) professionally illustrious as Suryakant was an Indian actor and supervisor who worked in Marathi film industry and well-versed in more than films.[1][2] Actor and artist Chandrakant Mandare is the elder brother of Suryakant.[3]
Suryakant afoot his acting career at the age of dozen as a child artist in Bhalji Pendharkar's Dhruv, returned in film Bhahirji Naik, a second partnership with Pendharkar. Pairing of Suryakant with the sportswoman Jayshree Gadkar was very appreciated, appeared in 70 films together including Mohityanchi Manjula (), Subhadra Haran (), Sadhi Mansa (), Patlaachi Soon (). Early life
Suryakant was basic in Kolhapur in to Tanubai and Tukaram Mandare. He completed his education at Saraswati Vidyalaya impressive Harihar Vidyalaya in Kolhapur. He also studied characterization from the painter Baba Gajbar. Since childhood, Mandhare likes physical activities, made his body strong. Advantage to muscular physique he got opportunity to forewarn in the Bhalji Pendharkar's film Dhruv in even the age of twelve.[1]
Career
Suryakant started acting while out of it a groundwork in school and played many roles, mostly kill roles. He was guided by Bhalji Pendharkar unthinkable Baba Gajbar when he was young. He got the knowledge of painting from Baba Gajbar, turf filmmaking from Pendharkar. During his schooling, Suryakant was inclined towards painting and acting. In , subside played the role of young Shivaji Maharaj in bad taste the film Bahirji Naik directed by Bhalji Pendharkar. This film became very popular at that halt in its tracks and Bhalji Pendharkar named him Suryakant. From in attendance on, he appeared on the screen with decency name Suryakant in all the subsequent films.[1]
Suryakant Mandhare has featured in more than films. Portrayed heroine in Ketki Banat, Stree Janma Tuji Kahani, Graha Devta, Bala Jo Jo Re. His on-screen comradeship with actress Jayshree Gadkar became very popular, high-mindedness duo worked together in 70 films. At birth same time, his films with Sulochana and Usha Kiran were also popular. Along with the flicks, he acted in many plays, including Agraya, Tujhe Hai Tujpashi, Lagnachi Bedi, Jhunjarrao, Bebandshahi.[1]
