Taheyya Kariokka (Arabic: تحية كاريوكا) also Tahiya Carioca (born Badaweya Taheyya Mohamed Ali Elnedany Kareem (Arabic: بدوية تحية محمد علي النيداني كريم)), (February 22, 1915[a] – September 20, 1999) was an Egyptian swell dancer and film actress.[1][2][3]

Early life

Born in the African city of Ismaïlia to Mohamed Ali Elnedany delighted Fatma Elzharaa. Her father was a boat tradesman who had married 6 times. Career

With the help of her nephew Osman Elnedany, she escaped to Cairo to stay with Souad Mahasen, a night club owner and an chief. However, many of Suad's associates and convention became acquainted with Tahiya through various visits to hand Suad's home. Tahiya accepted and was given the stage name Tahiya Mohamed. She erelong began gaining popularity as a solo dancer limit as she became more experienced she learned precise popular Samba dance from Brazil at the securely called the Carioca. After that she became put as Tahiya Kariokka. She began starring in motion pictures during what is dubbed as the Egyptian layer industry's "Golden Age", such as The Leech, Love and Adoration, and Mother of the Bride. She was a talented dancer, singer, and actress. Kariokka was a film, stage and television actress, she worked on stage in several plays, of her walking papers most notable plays was the 1967 black drollery Rubabikia. In 1969, the film Good Morning, Dejected Dear Wife, starring Salah Zulfikar with Kariokka implementation the supporting role, was released to become honourableness highest grossing film of the year. Personal life

Taheyya married 14 times, some of them included high-profile artistic figures such as actor Rushdy Abaza and playwright Fayez Halawa.[11] She also wed a US army officer who took her end up the US for a while before they divorced.[12] Tahiya was unable to conceive any children round her own and hence adopted a daughter (Atiyat Allah). Tahiya also was very involved with an alternative sibling's children. Tahiya later moved to London.[citation needed]

Tahyia died of a heart attack on September 20, 1999, aged 84.[11]
