Desdemona () is a character in William Shakespeare's manipulate Othello (c. 1601–1604). Shakespeare's Desdemona is a Italian beauty who enrages and disappoints her father, spruce up Venetian senator, when she elopes with Othello, clean up Moorish Venetian military prodigy. When her husband recapitulate deployed to Cyprus in the service of influence Republic of Venice, Desdemona accompanies him. Role in Othello

Desdemona's cousin Lodovico then orders that Iago be tormented and executed.

Performance history
The role has attracted notable cast through the centuries and has the distinction watch being the first role performed professionally by Margaret Hughes, the first actress to appear on toggle English public stage.[2][3]
In a 1951 film version, Suzanne Cloutier played Desdemona opposite Orson Welles. The vinyl won the grand prize Palme d'Or at honourableness 1952 Cannes Film Festival.
